
Susan Schafer is a Toronto-based producer and director who is passionate about telling stories in fresh and engaging ways. With a background in journalism, she’s worked in TV and documentary production for over 15 years across a vast variety of genres including pop-culture, history, news, comedy, survival, reality, and science. From fast-paced newsrooms to jungles, Parliament Hill to Nunavut, she’s worked in a wide range of locations and prides herself on being adaptable to any production situation. Wearing many hats, Susan has worked as a director, producer, talent producer, chase producer, development producer, story producer, story editor, and researcher for networks such as NETFLIX, CRAVE, CBC, HISTORY, MTV, PBS, DISCOVERY, A&E, CTV, CURIOSITY STREAM, and SNAPCHAT. A music and history lover, in her spare time Susan can often be found at concerts, museums, and cultural events.
